I first reached out about my Mental Health Problems I had, was informed by reception to go to Dorothy Patterson?! Unsure why I would be sent there. After finally getting an appointment through econsult I informed gp I had eating disorder and mental health problems, was sent for blood and given antidepressants, gp also informed me not to use econsult again and that i must only book via phone (tried this for months, as many of you know its impossible to get an appointment.) Strange! Could not get help for my eating disorder and still haven't. Gp told me I couldn't be referred to specialists until I was hospitalised! Where is the prevention? No help from them till this day. Less then 6 stone and wearing 13-14 years old clothes and I'm 25, all my teeth have broken due to the amount of times I've been sick over the years. It's just wrong that people have to be on their death bed before they can get help. I really feel for others if they have had the experience I have. There approach to mental health illnessses is shocking! Do they not realised how hard it is for people to reach out, and getting responses like I have will just push people away from wanting to get help all together.
I must say all the Nurses are amazing. Unsure where the employment company found the reception staff and the Dr's from.
