WE NEED YOU! – Black Country Voices

Dear Colleagues,

As the Coronavirus pandemic continues and social distancing measures are still in place, the current ‘new normal’ means a lot of engagement and contact with patients and local people is being done online, over the phone or by video.  And this will continue for the foreseeable future.

We have already set up ‘Black Country Voices’- an online citizens’ panel to give local people greater say as part of the ‘Healthier Futures’ partnership.  The panel has more than 1500 members who represent people who live, work and use health and care services across the Black Country and West Birmingham and demographically represent the population.

Whilst face to face engagement is not an option right now, we are keen to grow our citizens’ panel and engage with local people during this outbreak, so they are able to take part in online surveys and share their views with health and care decision makers about planning and improving local health and care services.  Therefore we would appreciate your support in encouraging local people to join the panel.

Although some panel members were recruited to represent local populations and demographics, anyone can become a member by filling out the application form:  If members decide they no longer wish to be a part of Black Country Voices, they can unsubscribe using the link in emails or by emailing:

Personal information, data and feedback is currently being hosted by Civica on their panel membership platform.  It is kept completely confidential and is being held securely in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. Unidentifiable data and survey feedback will never be shared with anyone else other than Civica and the Black Country and West Birmingham Sustainability Transformation Partnership (STP).

Please support by promoting this panel to your networks and encouraging people to join.
