Support BAME parents through COVID-19

Can you help us to give BAME women a maternity voice?

The Black Country and West Birmingham Local Maternity and Neonatal System wants to reach out to pregnant Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic women.

Working with Maternity Voices Partnerships, we want to provide information about local services for women and their families, reassure them that maternity services are available and safe during the Covid-19 pandemic, and encourage them to seek help if they have any concerns.

But to do this we need to find out more about the thoughts, feelings and concerns that our local BAME women have. What would give them confidence in the services available and make them feel supported and confident about asking for help?

Please help us to give BAME women and their families a maternity voice by sharing our survey with your local communities and the organisations that represent them.

Thank for helping us to better understand their needs by taking part in our anonymous survey. Their feedback is vital if we want to shape and support accessible, consistent and effective Maternity Services across the Black Country and West Birmingham.

Please use the link to a short survey  around maternity experiences fro those in the BAME community:

We would hope this supports you in starting conversations between MVP members and service users.
