Local Community Cancer Champion Project

Can you help raise awareness about cancer and support people who are affected in Walsall?

Cancer Research UK, Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, Healthwatch Waslall and the Clinical Commissioning Group are working in partnership to have local people involved to be Cancer Champions.

The aim of the project, which is taking place across the Black Country, is to improve patient outcomes in relation to prevention, screening and early diagnosis.

The role simply requires you to take top tips and best practice back to your community setting/ hub and help to improve awareness around cancer screening and early diagnosis.

Over time, it is hoped that you will have lots of opportunities to learn from health professionals to share the good things you have been learning about.

If you are interested…please see attached for more information and about booking a place on a training course (3 days) that will help you find out more.
